Meet the Baker

About the Baker:
Hi and welcome!
I'm Amanda of Mommy, Can I Lick the Spoon? and I'm a wannabe baker and cake maker.

I live in Vancouver, BC with my husband Dave and two wild and crazy little girls, Lauren (4.5) and Olivia (3).
I may not be the best at what I do, but I sure love baking. My dream is to one day have my own bakery/coffee & tea shop.

About the Blog:
In November 2014 I started a series of Wilton Cake Decorating Classes.
Because the photo album on my phone was always full (of kid pics), I decided to start a nameless, private blog to keep the pictures of my work.
Shortly after taking the Wilton classes, my love for baking was renewed. As my baking projects started piling up, I decided to give my blog a name, and publish it.

Being a stay at home mom, I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking, baking and washing dishes. I also spend a fair amount of time in the kitchen with my girls. With them in mind, I started my Kids in the Kitchen series which features my girls doing what we all love...baking!

This blog is basically an outlet for all of my baking successes and fails and adventures in the kitchen.

I try to post once a week, but sometimes life gets in the way or I choose sleep over late night blogging sessions!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Learning Baking Classes in Chennai allows one to control themselves whereas depressed people don’t have a sense of control. The feeling of giving your baked cake to your loved one is special and good, which makes you feel better as compared to receiving. Professional Bakery Classes in Chennai will help you to learn in a better way.
